The Schwarzman Scholars Program, founded by Stephen A. Schwarzman, is a competitive, one-year fully funded master’s degree in Global Affairs hosted at Tsinghua University, China. Modeled after the Rhodes Scholarship, this program equips future global leaders with in-depth knowledge of China’s role in the world while promoting international understanding through academic, cultural, and leadership experiences.

Participants study in Beijing, engage with top academics and global experts, and become part of a high-impact alumni network. The program welcomes diverse candidates with a strong academic background and demonstrated leadership potential.

Tasks

Selected Schwarzman Scholars will:

  • Complete a Master’s in Global Affairs in English at Tsinghua University

  • Join cultural immersion activities, including Mandarin language instruction
  • Collaborate on capstone projects that address global challenges
