Background & Job Description
The Ministry of Education in Kenya, through the State Department for Basic Education, is inviting qualified graduates to apply for a 12-month ICT internship beginning July 1, 2025. Interns will be deployed to Sub-County Education Offices to assist in implementing and supporting digital learning initiatives under the Digital Literacy Programme (DLP).
Tasks
Interns will:
- Support e-learning content aligned with school curricula
- Assist teachers in using digital devices for instruction
- Help implement and manage the Digital Literacy Programme
- Innovate digital solutions for improved classroom learning
- Train school staff in safe and ethical tech usage
- Offer basic ICT maintenance and first-line tech support
- Develop and help implement school ICT policies
Qualifications
Education and Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in ICT or Education (ICT specialization), or
- Diploma in ICT or ICT Integration in Education from a recognized institution
Experience
- Must have graduated not earlier than 2020
- Knowledge of networking, app development, cybersecurity, and ICT project management
- Familiarity with e-learning platforms and content creation tools
