Background & Job Description
The University of South Africa (UNISA) is offering an internship programme starting 01 July 2025, designed to support unemployed South African graduates. This programme provides hands-on experience in administrative, technological, and counselling roles. Interns will receive an annual stipend of R120,925.00 and work in regional offices located in Gauteng, including Johannesburg, Vaal, Sunnyside, and Florida.
Applicants must be South African citizens under the age of 35 and have completed a UNISA qualification at NQF level 6 or higher. Only graduates with no previous formal work experience are eligible to apply.
Tasks
- Perform administrative support in student services and technology departments
- Assist in counselling and academic advisory functions
- Use IT systems and Microsoft Office tools for reporting and data management
- Engage with students and staff in a professional, service-oriented manner
- Maintain confidentiality, prioritise tasks, and adhere to deadlines
Qualifications
Education and Certification:
- Diploma or Degree in:
- Finance, Business Management, Office Administration
- Information Technology, Computing, Informatics
- Psychology (Honours required for counselling roles)
