UNICEF is offering a prestigious internship opportunity within its Public Partnerships Division – UN Partnerships Team. Open to recent graduates or Master’s students, this 6-month full-time internship provides a deep dive into multilateral engagement, UN system reforms, and external relations. Based in New York HQ or remote, the selected intern will support critical research and coordination that influences UNICEF’s operations globally.
Tasks
- Analyze UN Development System surveys and ECOSOC discussions
- Draft strategic reports and briefings on UN reforms
- Summarize Executive Board sessions and global policy debates
- Organize high-level consultations and interagency meetings
- Maintain UNICEF’s knowledge management platforms
- Support social media content related to UN partnerships
- Prepare for principal events such as the Joint Meeting of the Boards
Qualifications
Education and Certification
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a Master’s program in International Relations, Development, Social Sciences, or a related field
Experience
- Strong writing, research, and Microsoft Office skills
- Fluency in English (additional UN language is a plus)
- Demonstrated commitment to UNICEF’s values: Care, Respect, Integrity, Trust, Accountability, and Sustainability (CRITAS)
