Background & Job Description
Vodacom has officially opened applications for its 2026 Early Careers Programme, which includes two pathways: the Discover Graduate Programme and the Vodacom Internship Programme. Both options are designed to attract and develop top young talent in the telecommunications and digital industries.
These are paid opportunities, offering either permanent employment (for graduates) or fixed-term work experience (for interns), with structured training, mentorship, coaching, and skills development throughout the journey.
The Discover Graduate Programme is a permanent position beginning on 1 February 2026, while the Internship Programme is a 12-month contract starting either 1 February or 1 March 2026.
Tasks
Participants in both programmes will:
- Gain exposure to Vodacom’s key business functions
- Receive professional coaching and technical mentorship
- Participate in on-the-job training and formal learning activities
- Contribute to real business projects
- Build leadership, innovation, and digital skills
- Join a strong peer network of graduates and interns
At the end of the graduate programme, successful candidates will transition into full-time roles within Vodacom. Interns may also be considered for permanent opportunities or the graduate stream.

Qualifications
Education and Certification
Applicants must have completed or be completing by end of 2025:
- A BCom, BSc, or BTech degree (NQF Level 7)
- OR a 3-year National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in one of the following:
- Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Computer Software Engineering
- Information Systems or IT
A minimum 65% aggregate is required in completed or latest academic results.
Experience
- Discover Graduate: Less than 2 years’ work experience
- Internship: 0–1 year of post-study work experience
Additional Information
- Applicants must be 26 years old or younger.
- Must be South African citizens by birth or naturalisation, or permanent residents.
- Citizens of DRC, Kenya, Lesotho, Mozambique, Ethiopia, Egypt, and Tanzania are encouraged to apply for placements in their home markets.
