The bursary is open to those pursuing their first undergraduate or Honours qualification in STEM or Green Economy-related fields, with funding provided for studies at public universities and universities of technology across South Africa.

Tasks

Successful applicants will:

Qualifications

Education and Certification

  • Must be currently in Grade 12 OR have completed Matric
  • Must intend to register for a first-time undergraduate or Honours programme in 2026
  • Must have passed Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy)
  • Must have an overall average of at least 65%

Experience & Other Requirements

  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must show financial need (proof via affidavit and bank statements)
  • Must be accepted or intend to apply to a public South African university or university of technology
  • Applicants under 18 must provide parental or guardian consent
